Whether you are learning to fly for business or pleasure, as a means of transportation or as a career goal, Wellsville Flying Service can serve you. We combine an experienced staff with the Jeppesen-Sanderson Pilot Training Curriculum to offer you the latest in flight training.
 
Recreational Pilot Certificate (A limited license for pilots who wish to fly primarily for fun.)
                 Ground Training: 30 hours
                 Flight Training:    30 hours (15 hours dual flight and 15 hours solo flight)
                 Minimum Total:   30 hours flight training
Private Pilot Certificate (Airplane, Single Engine, Land)
The Private Pilot Course integrates training aircraft, study  material, instructor and audio visual ground training into a single learning process.
 Minimum Course Time
                 Ground Training: 40 hours
                 Flight Training:    40 hours including:   20 hours dual flight training including:
                                                                                       3 hours dual cross country
                                                                                       3 hours dual night flight
                                                                                       3 hours instrument training
 Students who come to Wellsville Flying Service with previous training and logged flight hours may be granted advanced standing in the Private Pilot Certification Course.
 Instrument Rating Course
You will find that flying with an Instrument Rating from Wellsville Flying Service is an efficient and easy way to fly. It offers freedom from many weather restrictions that would otherwise keep you on the ground when your schedule says “go”.
